Executive and Supervisory Coaching
Executive Summary
Executive Coaching involves the active and collaborative participation
with the Executive Coach and the Client selected for this customized,
one-on-one training and/or professional development. The objective of
Executive Coaching is to help turn potential into performance in
selected skill and/or developmental areas.
Process
The Executive Coach will meet with the Client to determine desired
coaching outcomes and discuss their immediate needs. Since this is an
active and collaborative process, the Executive Coach will also ask
the Client to complete an Executive Skills Self-Assessment to
determine their additional priority areas of need and development.
Input from the Client will be a driving force in setting up a
development plan.
The Executive Coach will then draft a schedule of meetings with
specific objectives tied to achieving professional development
outcomes. A timeline for achieving learning outcomes will be prepared
and the agreed upon specific topics will be addressed at each session.
All sessions will build on the previous ones, starting with a
beginning plan and fine-tuning skill development as the session’s
progress. The Executive Coach will use a variety of resources,
including one-on-one feedback, web-based, print, audio, and video;
appropriate learning technologies and materials to support the
learning outcomes.
All conversations with the Executive Coach are kept confidential.
Supervisors who ask for developmental coaching with their staff are
apprised of the client confidentiality.
